Sadness n'est jamais vraiment accueillant, en tout cas pas au premier abord, surtout quand on pose les yeux sur la pochette de To have ever had, simple ligne électrique frappée par un petit éclair sur un décor jaune/orangé abstrait. Il suffira pourtant d'écouter la piste éponyme pour s'apercevoir que toute l'ambiance est posée, celle d'une tristesse majestueuse qui est en-dehors du langage. "I bloom a bridge" est encore plus mélancolique et fait bourgeonner des ponts musicaux. Une merveille !
